The Caryopteris clan. 'Heavenly Bleu' is a beautiful butterfly bush with fragrant blue / purple flowers that butterflies and bees love! In the sun and partial shade, this ornamental shrub can grow to about 1 meter. It is best to prune the plant as late as possible in winter (around the beginning of March). Then it can be pruned back to about 20 cm. The Caryopteris has green leaves that are gray on the underside. Not only do the flowers have a nice scent, but the leaves also look a bit like lavender. This ornamental shrub is hardy but not evergreen.
Since this ornamental shrub is popular with butterflies and insects, you can hang a beautiful insect house in the vicinity of this plant!
