About the Coal Tit
The European population of this bird, has been evaluated as secure by BirdLife International.
An active and agile bird that often feeds high in trees and searches their trunks for food. It hangs upside down, and also hovers, to reach food on the underside of branches and leaves. Outside the breeding season it often accompanies moving flocks of other small birds, such as Long-tailed Tits and Goldcrests.
