Denton 32mm Nest Box

This wooden nest box features a striking flamed surface with a smart black roof. The timber has been thermally treated by heating it to over 180⁰C in an oxygen-reduced environment. This process alters the structure of the wood, making it more durable and giving it a distinctive, attractive appearance. Because the wood is gently carbonised, every box has its own unique character. A metal plate around the entrance hole also helps protect against damage from predators.

The design includes an extended roof overhang, offering extra protection so that predators such as cats and squirrels are less able to reach inside.
